What God taught me this Week

LIVE BEYOND THE FOG

This week, God reminded me that we often live with a need to be right and make others wrong. In doing so, we don't realize it, but we begin to live in a fog...a fog that limits our spiritual visibility and restricts our ability to see beyond. But here's the truth God showed me...The fog is not real.

When the fog lifts, what we actually see is clarity. We see ourselves... the real self... unyielding and unwilling to consider another perspective. Scripture says, "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).

Coming out of the fog isn't dramatic...it's sobering. It's a life altering transformation, where God doesn't shame us, but reveals us and corrects our thinking...aligning our thoughts with His thoughts, and aligning our ways with His ways, and surrendering our will for His.

The fog keeps us living in deception, caught in a figment of our own imagination that tells we are living right and doing right, when in reality it is based on our own definition of what is right, shaped by self-righteousness rather than truth.

When the fog lifts, you are brought out of darkness and into His marvelous light, where the scales are removed from your eyes and you see God as love and His Word as truth. And where Truth is, there is freedom. If you desire to live beyond the fog and beyond your own righteousness, it begins with a decision. A decison to surrender your way for His. Repent and free yourself from the fog and invite Jesus to come into your heart and be Lord...not just over your life, but within it.

Let us Pray:

Father God, thank you for loving us enough to lead us out of the fog and into Your light. Search our hears, correct our thinking, and align our thoughts and ways with Yours. Help us to walk in truth, humility and freedom, and to see clearly through Your love...In Jesus name. Amen
